Susan J. Shipley is the founding partner of Shipley & Associates focusing in the areas of estate planning and elder law.  Ms. Shipley has over twenty years experience in these areas and has structured her practice to serve the needs of clients with these concerns.

Ms. Shipley is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.   She volunteers at the Legal Clinic offered by the Sudbury Senior Center in Sudbury, MA.  

Susan Shipley participated in a round table discussion at the Callahan Center, Framingham, MA for the Continuing Connections group.  This is an experimental support group established to help couples where one spouse has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. She provided legal advice regarding asset protection strategies.

Ms. Shipley has spoken on National Healthcare Decisions Day on behalf of the Natick VNA and Distinguished Care Options at the Morse Institute Library in Natick, MA.  She has also spoken at the Callahan Center, Framingham, MA about Protection of Home Against Cost of Nursing Home Care, at the Sudbury Senior Center about Basic MassHealth Eligibility Rules for Medicaid Benefits, and at Musketahquid Village in Sudbury about Basic Estate Planning Documents . 

Ms. Shipley holds degrees in law (J.D., Suffolk University Law School); history (B.S., Illinois State University and M.A.T., concentration in history, Brown University) and library science (M.L.S., Simmons College).
